Chinese New Year

I designed this project while teaching at Shillington. I wanted to show students by following design processes, how they could steer away from literal solutions to briefs and come up with more creative, lateral and exciting designs.

The brief was for The City of Sydney's Chinese New Year celebrations.

The goal was to capture the feeling of the festival's celebrations as well as emphasise the traits of the animal for that year.

I found connections between feelings of the festival and attributes of the animal and represented these in a visual form to create energy, movement and personality to each card.
